WB 19.2.18

This week we have been learning about riddles in English. The children have had great fun trying to work out the different puzzles and clues and have performed and written their own riddles. We will continue to look at poems that play with words and language next week. In maths we have been continuing to work on the formal column method for 2-digit and 3-digit subtraction and have practised using these skills in some problem solving activities.

Yesterday the children had a lovely morning creating their sandwiches that they had designed in DT. It was a great opportunity for them to practise their spreading, grating and chopping skills. There were many clean plates by the end of the lesson which is confirmation of how tasty they were!

This week we have also started to learn the songs for our summer production 'Dragon Days'. We have given the children the words to the songs and this week their homework is to learn the first two songs.
