Today was our fundraising day, where the children focused on the money we have raised for the Westminster Catholic Children's Society. At the start of the day the children added the money they had saved in their Lenten boxes to the letters of Westminster Catholic Children's Society, in the library. The children did this in a reflective and prayerful way, thinking about all the children that would benefit from the money they had raised. They should all be very proud of the money they raised - well done and thank you to parents for your support!
The children (and teachers!) then enjoyed an afternoon of fun in the hall, running fundraising stalls and having a go on those that other classes had organised. The children ran the stalls very responsibly and were a credit to the school.
Next week we finish the term with our 'Be Spirited' week, which promises to be a wonderful, reflective end to what has been a very busy term. There will be prayer stations set up in the hall throughout the week and each class will have a daily slot to spend time going around the different stations. There will also be additional 'Be Spirited' activities happening in class throughout the week, as well as time spent in the prayer garden. We will then finish the week with Mass on Friday morning, which all parents are welcome to attend. We hope to see some of you there.
In the meantime, we wish all the Yr 3 mummies a wonderful mothering Sunday for tomorrow, and it looks as though we may even get to enjoy some sunshine too! 😎
