3L's got talent!

3L had a brilliant time enjoying all the performances in this afternoon's Strictly X-factor!  Our four entries courageously took the stage with Scottish dancing, singing and acting. They did us and themselves proud!

Super Soil Scientists!

In Science this week we have been planning and carrying out an investigation into how well water moves through different soil types. We wanted to find out which soil type is the most permeable.

Everyone worked effectively within their group in their role as Coordinator, Resources Manager, Tester or Recorder and successfully answered the question.
Fantastic Science!

Interviewing the Wise Men (or 2 wise boys and 1 wise girl in our case)

In RE this week we have been thinking about the visit of the wise men to baby Jesus.

After acting out the journey of the wise men and their troubling encounter with Herod we then interviewed them about their journey and the experiences they had.

The members of the audience directed their questions to the wise men who answered with insightful ideas.  We were sad when the wise men had to go and our microphones turned back into glue sticks!

Roman Homework Projects

Last week 3L shared the wonderful work they had produced for their Roman creative homework.

We were treated to everything from models of Roman baths and amphitheatres, to PowerPoint presentations, to roman jewellery, to artwork, to food.  Everyone had put so much work into their creations and we all learned a lot when we shared the projects in class.

Thank you also, to all 3L's families for their help with these fantastic productions!

Verulamium!

During our trip to Verulamium Museum and Park on Thursday everyone enjoyed travelling back in time to Roman Verulam,

While at the museum the children got dressed up, got new Roman names, visited a Roman Market and explored the artefacts within the museum gallery itself.

We also explored the Roman remains that can be found around the park, taking time to look at the hypocaust, mosaic and London Wall.
